AMBITIOUS plans to provide hundreds more homes for rent in Swansea are helping city families find affordable places to live. In the last year alone Swansea Council added almost 90 homes to its 13,712 stock of affordable homes for rent with hundreds more planned for the years ahead. Rhondda Cynon Taf residents are invited to attend an in-person event on August 22 as part of a wider consultation for the proposed new 3-19 Special School. The Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach has had new high-efficiency LED floodlights installed to provide enhanced visibility and energy efficiency to the facility. A former South Wales Police officer has appeared in court after an investigation by the force’s Professional Standards Department uncovered his corrupt behaviour. Concerns were identified about Richard Helling through the proactive work of the Anti-Corruption Unit which found that he had abused his position as a Police Constable with four victims of crime who he had met through the course of his duties.
