English rock band The Cult will headline Cardiff Castle for the first time on Tuesday 4th July as part of their ‘Under The Midnight Sun’ European Tour. The band is touring in honour of their eleventh studio album, Under The Midnight Sun, which was released in October last year to critical acclaim. The album was remotely recorded for two years during the pandemic and was  produced at Rockfield Studios, where the band had recorded their debut album Dreamtime in 1984. Gemma Grainger has announced her Cymru squad for the upcoming international challenge matches against Northern Ireland and Portugal. Grainger has selected a 26-player squad for the second camp of the year as Cymru look to build on their unbeaten 2023 Pinatar Cup campaign in February. Thanks to a new initiative by an Anglesey-based social enterprise, five community Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging points have been installed across the island.  Menter Môn, in partnership with Medrwn Môn and the Isle of Anglesey County Council have installed the points at community hubs as part of the Zap Môn project. With the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans to be banned from 2030, the roll-out of fast chargers aims to give residents the option of going electric early.
