SENIOR POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS have been confirmed by Neath Port Talbot Council at its Annual Meeting held at Port Talbot Civic Centre on Tuesday (June 7th, 2022). A new coalition to lead Neath Port Talbot Council was formally appointed following last month’s local elections when representatives from the Independent, Plaid Cymru and Dyffryn Independent groups made an agreement to share power. Three educators in Caerphilly County Borough Council have been recognised in this year’s Young Enterprise Wales Awards. Coleg Gwent, Blackwood Comprehensive School and St Martins Comprehensive School all received awards at the 2022 Young Enterprise Wales Awards. Wales qualified for their first World Cup in over 60 years after beating Ukraine 1-0 in a tense play-off final match on Sunday. The Red Dragons progressed after Gareth Bale’s first-half free-kick was deflected in by Ukraine defender Andriy Yarmolenko. Workers at a Cwmbran business park will now have access to a potentially life-saving defibrillator, thanks to Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors and the Welsh Ambulance Service through the Save a Life Cymru Scheme.
