Two people have been convicted of the murder of Kamran Aman in Barry. Police were called to a report of stabbing in Barry Road just before midnight on Monday, June 30. Father-of-one Kamran died, and a murder investigation was launched. Two males, aged 16 and 17, from Llantwit Major, were arrested nearby within minutes of a 999 call being made to South Wales Police. They pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder. Following a trial at Cardiff Crown Court, they have this week been found guilty. Sentencing will take place on February 20. £1.8 million in emergency funding has been confirmed to repair flood defence infrastructure damage due to Storm Claudia. Local authorities across Wales saw assets suffer significant damage during extreme weather in November.
