Denbighshire County Council has made the decision to install temporary barriers on the promenade side of the Rhyl High Street pedestrian zone. From Monday 18th July the temporary barriers will be closed from 10am to 5pm every day to prevent motorists driving and parking within the pedestrian zone. This comes after the Council has received numerous complaints from the local community and business owners. South Wales police can confirm that the investigation into a serious assault which occurred on Commercial Street, Neath on Friday, 15 July is now a murder investigation. Detectives have charged a 34 year-old man from Hampshire with murder. Daniel Pickering, 34, will appear before Swansea Magistrates Court on Monday, 18 July, 2022. Builth Wells Event Safety Group has launched a safety campaign ahead of the return of Wales’ premier agricultural show this week (July 18-21).
