LEADING Welsh aluminium fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a project, worth over £800,000, at the University of Plymouth. Working with BAM Construction, the fabricator will install Kawneer capped curtain walling, windows, commercial doors and Louvreshield, as well as automatic doors, at the New Engineering and Design Facility at the university’s main city centre campus. After a fiercely contested competition between five UK secondary schools, Laurus Ryecroft in Manchester was named ‘Food, Farming and Natural Environment School of the Year 2021’. The national competition, run by LEAF Education in collaboration with Coleg Cambria, aims to shine a light on sustainable farming and food production through experiential on-farm experiences for young people. Pembrokeshire County Council is planning to build an Eco Park to support the county’s very successful kerbside collection service and the public is being urged to give their views through a pre application consultation (PAC) exercise. In November 2019 Pembrokeshire County Council introduced a new household recycling and waste collection service and Pembrokeshire is now very proud to be Wales’ top recycler.
