Police are investigating an allegation of rape reported to have taken place at a popular Pembrokeshire nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning. Dyfed Powys Police said the incident was reported to have happened at Sands Nightclub in Saundersfoot just after 3am on Sunday 14 December. It is alleged to have taken place in the toilet area of the venue. A man from Canton has been charged following an incident in the Capital Retail Park Leckwith, Cardiff earlier this week (Tuesday, December 16). Officers attended a report of a man with a knife just before midday. A suspect had left the scene but was arrested within 45 minutes and a knife was recovered. Thankfully nobody was injured. A stalker who was serving a suspended sentence for burglary has been jailed. Dale Myles Selby, of Cae’r Ffynon, Llanystumdwy, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Tuesday 16 December after admitting to stalking. In September 2025, Selby sent a woman threatening and abusive voice messages after claiming she had sent money to him to the wrong bank account. The 37-year-old threatened to bust the door of her house down and assault both the woman and her husband. Testing carried out by the Animal and Plant Health Agency has confirmed that two swans, found dead at Roath Park Lake, died of avian flu. Avian Flu has previously been confirmed in a bird that died at Cardiff Bay.
