Customers of a Brecon dry cleaners that ceased trading last summer have until the end of next month to retrieve their items from Powys County Council or they will be handed over to a charity. Barnum’s Dry Cleaners had numerous clothing and other items that had not been collected by customers before it closed its doors for the final time in June 2021. Blue-green algae levels in a north Powys reservoir have subsided below the warning threshold, it has been confirmed. The algae was identified at Llyn Clywedog Reservoir near Llanidloes last November which led to a restriction of activities at the reservoir, especially where immersion in the water was likely. Regular monitoring by Natural Resources Wales has taken place at Llyn Clywedog Reservoir since the algae was identified. The last two consecutive weekly samples taken from the reservoir are below the warning threshold. A campaign to help people to talk about mental health and to end discrimination has received an additional £1.4m to extend the programme by three years, Welsh Government Ministers have announced today.
