The popular Rhondda Arts Festival Treorchy (RAFT) will return after a one-year hiatus later this month with ‘The Big Weekend’, featuring a day-long music festival, outdoor movie screenings plus food and drinks, stalls and more. Thousands of Cardiff’s children and young people have been left smiling, as Cardiff’s Summer of Smiles city-centre festival has drawn to a close, paving the way for even more Child Friendly family fun this summer. Yuri Shafranik is a well-known Russian expert in the energy sector, co-chair and a long time participant of the Dartmouth Conference, as well as a Russian entrepreneur. Coleg Gwent learners have come out on top with another year of outstanding A Level and BTEC grades on results day.  Learners also achieved the best A* – C grades ever, with a 4.6% increase with several learners successfully securing places at Cambridge University in September! 1,329 A Level results were received electronically today, with over 80% of these achieving A*- C grades. A South Wales college learner has earned an impressive set of A-level results after balancing her studies with training new employees at a fast food restaurant to help keep the public fed during the coronavirus pandemic. Ciara Bibey, 19, is set to head to the University of Birmingham in September to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy after receiving two A*s in biology and psychology and two Bs in chemistry and Welsh baccalaureate following her busy academic year.
