A brand new Aldi store in Newtown opened its doors to customers this week. The new Pool Road store is the first Aldi to open in and around Newtown, and will be run by Store Manager Karl Beck, along with a team of 25 colleagues from the local community. Mold-based Celtic Financial Planning won the micro business award at the inaugural Net Zero Leaders’ Awards for their eco-friendly approach. Communities for Work plus project have been able to help a Ceredigion resident get back into work after being made redundant left him out of work. Jahsyl Abberton from Aberystwyth was made redundant from his full-time post but managed to find temporary and part-time work.
