Two Swansea business leaders have given the thumbs-up to a new office development that’s recently been officially opened in the city centre. Adam Gibbons and Carwyn Davies say the 71/72 Kingsway scheme will complement others to create more city centre footfall and spending while also meeting the need for more high-quality office accommodation in Swansea. North Wales Police are increasing patrols in the Hirael, Maesgeirchen and High Street areas following a serious assault in Bangor earlier this week, Tuesday 9th July. Emergency services attended Llandegai Road shortly before 8.30pm following reports of an assault, which subsequently resulted in a teenager being taken to hospital with serious injuries. A man from Swansea has been jailed after he drove a stolen vehicle into a bike shop and made off with two bikes. 40-year-old Matthew Morgan, from Blaenymaes, targeted a business in Fforestfach on May 12. After first stealing a DHL delivery van and damaging several other vehicles belonging to another business, Morgan then used the vehicle to forcefully cause damage to the front of Uprise Bikes, before stealing two bikes from within the premises. Projects to support nature in Cardiff are to receive a £2 million funding boost through a ‘Local Places for Nature’ scheme.
