The Cameo Club has confirmed it will shut its Pontcanna venue at the end of 2019. Swansea Bay’s speech and language team has given the profession plenty to talk about after picking up a major Public Health Wales award. Officers and staff from South Wales Police have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours. The man who died following a collision on Christmas Day has been named as Darran Peter Fellowes. The collision happened at approximately 5pm on the northbound carriageway of the A465 near to the Aberdulais junction. A black Toyota Aygo collided with a red VW Beetle and Mr Fellowes, 48, from Skewen. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the father-of-two died at the scene. Mr Fellowes is survived by his mother Alma, mother-in-law Marilyn, sister Jacqueline, his wife Donna and their children Thomas and Jack.
