A leading civil engineering firm has played a key role in the multi-million-pound expansion of one of the world’s largest ferry operators’ freight business on the Wirral. Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK was appointed by Stena Line to provide two additional parking areas for commercial trailers, prior to cargo being shipped between Birkenhead and both Dublin and Belfast. A builder who disregarded established safeguards in relation to the deposition and handling of asbestos has been fined by Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre. Mr Ashley Ciminera, 37, of  Lampeter had been replacing the roof of Harvst at Teifi Warehouse, Morgan Street, Cardigan SA43 1DF in June 2023 when he dumped fragmented and broken corrugated asbestos roofing sheets into a carpark that had open public access, and adjacent to the pavement. FOOD producers and independent businesses could benefit from a partnership with Conwy schools. Conwy council’s Catering department has piloted a Welsh Government Foundational Economy and Business Wales initiative encouraging more local authorities to use Welsh suppliers when designing primary school menus. South Wales Police is continuing to investigate a shooting which happened in Clos Y Fynnon, Pontprennau, Cardiff at approximately 8pm on Saturday, June 7. Pride Cymru is back with a two-day festival planned in Cardiff City Centre on June 21st and June 22nd. Neath Port Talbot Council’s Trading Standards Team has obtained a closure order against a vape shop trading in Taibach, Port Talbot. A District Judge at Swansea Magistrates Court approved the closure of Vape Land in Commercial Road, Taibach, under Section 80 Of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The premises had been found to be selling counterfeit and illicit (non-tax paid) tobacco and cigarettes as well as Illegal and oversized vapes on a number of occasions since June of Last year.
