Proposals for a new Aldi food store and Starbucks coffee shop on vacant land known locally as Burrows Yard in Aberavon, Port Talbot, have been approved. Members of Neath Port Talbot Council’s Planning Committee gave the go ahead for the development earlier this month. Residents will be able to find out more about initial plans for a new walking and cycling route in Treherbert, by taking part in a public consultation next week (June 17 to July 1). This scheme represents one phase of a larger active travel route, which is being developed for Treherbert and Treorchy. On May 29, 2025, he was issued with a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court to prevent crime and protect shop workers.
