A Cardiff family had a shock when a stray ferret wandered through the back-door of their home. RSPCA Cymru was contacted after the ferret made an unannounced visit to a property on Fidlas Road last Friday evening (11 October). The property is on the Cyncoed side of the road. The male ferret was taken to a veterinary practice to be checked over, but fortunately was found to have no welfare concerns. He is now based at the charity’s Newport Animal Centre. South Wales Police can confirm that the body recovered from the River Taff near Abercynon on Wednesday afternoon (16 October) has been formally identified as being that of 22 year-old Brooke Morris, from Trelewis, who was reported missing on Saturday, 12 October, 2019. The Coroner has been informed and a post mortem is due to be carried out to determine the cause of Brooke’s death. South Wales Police officers are continuing to provide support to Brooke’s family.
