A man who strangled his wife before telling officers he had come home to find she had killed herself has today been sentenced to life in prison for her murder. Lesley Potter, 66, was found dead at the home she shared with her husband Derek on Hill Street in Mumbles, Swansea, on April 7th. Attending emergency services were told by Mr Potter that he had returned home after a brief outing to collect money to find his wife hanged. Brexit uncertainty is being felt in the housing market in Wales, with prices now flat and surveyors expecting prices and sales to edge lower in the three months ahead, according to the latest RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Residential Market Survey. The latest survey is the first in 15 months in which house prices in Wales haven’t been reported to have risen. Cardiff’s plans for a new 15,000 capacity indoor arena in the Bay will take a step forward this month if the Council’s Cabinet grants permission for detailed design works to be progressed.
