The Farmers’ Union of Wales has expressed concern that the level of bovine TB in Wales has risen over the last 12 months, despite the introduction of further cattle control measures in October last year. Aberystwyth University has been awarded five new fellowships under the Rutherford Fund Strategic Partner Grants scheme administered by Universities UK International (UUKi). The short-term fellowships are funded by the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)through the Rutherford Fund, with the aim of attracting global talent and strengthening the UK’s research base. Rydal Penrhos School is delighted to reveal a record-breaking set of A-level results. As results were announced nationwide on Thursday, August 16, the Upper Sixth Form pupils secured 45.1% A*-A grades, which is the highest in the School’s history by some margin since the introduction of the A* grade.
