A woman has died following a road traffic collision in Flintshire. At 4.26pm on Thursday, 24 April, North Wales Police received a report of a collision involving four vehicles on the A548 Mostyn Road, Flintshire near to the junction for Gwespyr Village. Emergency services attended, however, sadly the driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers. Sergeant Leigh McCann of the Roads Crime Unit is appealing for witnesses. A pilot scheme to help residents recycle even more of their household waste is being launched in Swansea Swansea Council is trialling a new kerbside recycling scheme, which will see soft plastic items such as crisp packets, plastic food wrapping and plastic carrier bags collected from homes as part household waste collections. RCT Council has now finalised its Resilient Roads programme for 2025/26 – which will design and deliver 10 further schemes to alleviate flood risk at key locations on the highway network. A company has been sentenced to pay £15,500 for offences under the Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010 (Wales) Regulations 2011, following a prosecution brought by Blaenau Gwent Council. Tantastic Blackwood Ltd was prosecuted at Newport Magistrates’ Court after the director, David Bryn Williams, pleaded guilty to five offences.
