More than 50 young people have enjoyed the opportunity to try out new sports thanks to a Sport Pembrokeshire Community Clubs event. The event at Fishguard Leisure Centre for Ysgol Bro Gwaun and feeder schools was sponsored by Valero and held on December 1st. Local clubs and providers offered taster sessions of cricket, self-defence, rowing, dance, hockey, tennis, table tennis, rugby & basketball. Water was kindly provided for the event by Princes Gate. Significant restoration work is set to rejuvenate Cyfarthfa Castle, with major improvements scheduled to commence in January. The comprehensive renovation project will address critical structural needs and preserve this historic building for future generations. Founders Mario Kreft MBE and his wife, Gill, toured Pendine Park’s care homes, thanking staff and residents during joint Christmas and anniversary celebrations. Wales is investing in sickness not health, the Future Generations Commissioner is warning, as he joins calls for a dramatic shift in the way we spend our budgets.
