A talented choir and a unique brass band are joining forces to raise money for good causes with “exciting” new versions of well-known Welsh pop songs. Band Pres Llareggub (Brass Band) will link up with Côr Nantclwyd, a mixed choir with over 100 members drawn from across Denbighshire, Conwy and Flintshire, for a huge “Night Out” at Ruthin Farmers Auction site at Parc Glasdir on November 30. Just one month one from its launch, Cardiff’s Refill Return Cup scheme is celebrating strong results, with more than 2,500 cups borrowed and a 97% return rate from eco-conscious coffee lovers across the city. This first-of-its-kind initiative in Wales, which launched on October 4th, has already saved an estimated 43kg of CO2 by reducing single-use cup waste. According to new data from Savills, Cardiff office take-up in Q3 2024 has reached 146,000 sq ft, representing a 122% increase on Q3 2023, an 84% increase on the five year average and an 11% increase on the 10 year average. Savills reveals that the most active sector during the quarter was the professional services sector, representing 25% of total office take-up in Cardiff. Caws Teifi, a family-run farm and artisan cheese maker based in Llandysul, has received £100,000 funding from NatWest to improve the energy efficiency of Glynhynod Farm. The business was founded in 1982 and has been producing high quality Welsh cheese for almost four decades.
