The family of a man who died following a collision in Pwllheli on Saturday 28 March have paid tribute to him. Elis Alan Ogilvy-Bardsley was 20 years old and lived in Pwllheli with his mum, dad, younger sister and brother. A murder investigation has been launched after a 49-year-old man died in the Wrexham area. Detectives are now appealing for information in connection with the death. Shortly after midday on Friday, 27 March, officers attended a property in Rhosllanerchrugog, where a man had died from a head injury. The coroner has been informed. Officers remain at the scene of the property in Rhos as the investigation, which remains in the early stages, is ongoing. Transport for Wales (TfW) has begun a review of over 6,000 bus stops across South West Wales as the region prepares for bus franchising. South West Wales will be the first region in Wales to roll out bus franchising under the Bus Services (Wales) Act 2026. A Newport timber company offering work placements to care-experienced young people has become the first private sector company to sign the Welsh Government’s Corporate Parenting Charter. Premier Forest Products, working with Newport City Council, offers paid work placements for up to six young people a year along with mentoring support and educational tutoring where needed.
