At present, many taxis only accept cash payment for fares, making it difficult for those passengers who don’t carry cash, to travel. Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Leisure are delighted to announce that additional support from Activity Wales, through the Long Course Weekend Legacy Fund, will help extend school swimming provision across the county – ensuring more children and schools receive the help they need most. A Newport man who continued to commit fly-tipping offences despite being subject to a criminal behaviour order has been jailed for 15 months. Stewart Evans was handed a 10-year criminal behaviour order and a suspended prison sentence earlier this year following a string of fly-tipping offences.  The conditions of the order prohibited Mr Evans from removing any waste from the home of any individual, including garden materials. More than 1,500 people have transformed their health thanks to a Welsh Government-funded football initiative to tackle obesity and inactivity. The FIT FANS programme is being run at five Welsh football clubs – Cardiff City, Newport County, Newtown AFC, Swansea City and Wrexham.
