The average price of a home in Wales dropped to about £232,400 in the third quarter of 2024 –2.9% below October 2023 figures and almost 7% below its peak of £249,000 at the end of 2022. Olympic BMX rider James Jones has backed major plans to improve skateboarding and wheel sports facilities in Swansea. His backing comes within days of a workshop being held to further explore whether an initial design concept for a street plaza-style facility would work at the current location of the skate ramp at Victoria Park. One in three stroke survivors (33%) say that talking to other stroke survivors was the single most important part of their recovery, but in fact only a quarter (25%) did so, according to new research released today by the Stroke Association. To mark World Stroke Day (Tuesday 29 October), the charity, which connects survivors with each other to improve recovery from stroke, surveyed over 1,000 UK stroke survivors. A stalker who damaged the home of one ex-partner and threatened to post intimate pictures of another ex-partner has been jailed. Gruffydd Llyr Williams, of Ffordd Efailnewydd, Efailnewydd, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday, October 25th after admitting to stalking and threatening to disclose private sexual photos without consent.
