An exciting new event is set to take Haverfordwest by storm this winter, with the first Riverside Winter Fair promising a fun-filled day for all ages on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. Lineat, a sustainable technology business specialising in the recycling of carbon fibre, is investing in Wales following a £1.4 million equity raise led by Green Angel Ventures and the Development Bank of Wales. Cardiff-based start-up Cancha Mojo has successfully launched to market following technical support delivered through the Welsh Government funded Project HELIX. Cancha Mojo, which is owned by Carmen Roberts, produces a range of traditional mojo sauces that originate from the Canary Islands. These versatile products can be used as a dip, marinade, dressing or sauce. Swansea Council is in advanced discussions with a number of leading high street retailers and leisure operators about moving into the former Debenhams unit in the city centre. The advanced discussions follow the council purchasing the building with Welsh Government support after Debenhams went into administration. The council also says tenants will soon be announced for the new office development taking shape at the former Oceana nightclub site on The Kingsway. A UK Government funded initiative using data and technology to manage town centres and support business is launching in Pembrokeshire. Pembrokeshire County Council, working with Owen Davies Consulting and associates, is inviting all those interested in finding out about what a Smart Town is and how they can benefit communities to come along to an online event. Officers from Newport’s waste enforcement and engagement team have been reaching out to businesses across the city to speak to them about their waste collection arrangements. Every business has a duty of care to ensure their waste is collected by a registered waste carrier. Businesses who do not have correct waste collection arrangements in place risk a £300 fine. Over the last few months, officers have been in touch with around 195 businesses to check they had proper arrangements in place. In total, 81 fixed penalties were issued to these businesses for non-compliance. Over 1,660 reports of fly-tipping have also…
