AI is quickly becoming central to logistics and the running of warehouses, predicting breakdowns long before they occur, and routing trucks before the traffic hits. But this all depends on having good data. Automated sorting and smart forecasting are very much downstream from the tracking of assets. Physical assets need to be tracked reliably, starting by capturing asset data at the point of movement. There and then, and systems need to reconfigure in real-time. How AI is changing supply chain operations AI as an LLM, as it stands, is undoubtedly suffering from its own hype. But what isn’t underperforming is…

Cardiff remains one of Wales’ most watched property markets, but choosing an estate agent is no longer just recognising a board on the street. For sellers in 2026, the sharper question is which agent has the right evidence, local record and selling approach. A Cardiff Market With More Choice Than Ever Cardiff has been one of the more active UK regional property markets of recent years, helped by established residential demand, Welsh returners, lifestyle movers, London-priced-out professionals and wider Cardiff Capital Region investment. ONS data for March 2026 put the average Cardiff house price at £271,000, up 1.2% year on…
Across many towns and villages, rising motoring costs are having a major impact on the way households plan their weekly budgets. Fuel prices are volatile, insurance premiums have gone through the roof, and repairs are getting more expensive as parts and labour costs increase. For families who rely on a car to reach work, school, medical appointments or shops, these increases are more than a minor inconvenience. They are a direct pressure on living standards – especially where public transport is limited or unreliable. Here, we’ll take a deeper look at how spiralling motoring costs are impacting ordinary Welsh households:…
PDFs are convenient because they preserve the layout, fonts, images, forms, and page order across devices. That same reliability can make them heavy. A one-page contract may take only a few hundred kilobytes, while a scanned report with photos can grow into a file that email, storage platforms, or online forms refuse to accept. People usually compress PDF files when a task that should take a minute turns into a file-size problem. A client cannot open an attachment on a phone. A government portal rejects an upload. A team folder fills with duplicate reports. Compression solves these everyday issues by…
Three people from South Wales have been arrested as part of an investigation into the importation of cannabis worth an estimated £139 million into the UK. The arrests were made on Tuesday, 16 June, following a South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) investigation into a major international drug trafficking operation. The investigation began after the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) intercepted a shipment of cannabis destined for the UK. Working closely with Canadian authorities, investigators identified two shipping containers suspected of containing cannabis while they were in transit to Southampton Port. Border Force officers intercepted the containers on 6…

Motorists are being advised to plan ahead as a series of overnight roadworks and closures take place across key routes in Wales this week. Traffic Wales has announced a number of maintenance schemes affecting sections of the M4, M48 and A470, with several slip roads and motorway stretches subject to overnight closures between 17 and 19 June. Diversions will be in place throughout the works, which are scheduled to take place overnight to minimise disruption. The most significant impact is expected on the M4 between Rogiet and the Second Severn Crossing, where the eastbound carriageway between Junction 23 (Rogiet) and…
Puppy breeding investigations by local authorities in Wales rose by 46% between 2024 and 2025, figures captured by RSPCA Cymru have revealed – with Cardiff seeing the third most complaints last year. In response, the RSPCA is urging the new Welsh Government to review the nation’s dog breeding laws – and is reminding the public how to add pets to their families safely. The animal welfare charity asked all 22* local authorities in Wales – under the Freedom of Information Act – how they deal with irresponsible dog breeding. Cardiff Council undertook 30 investigations in 2025, along with one prosecution.…
