Welsh law firm, Berry Smith, is celebrating the success of its commercial property team, which has recently been shortlisted for the third time in the Property Law Firm of the Year Award category as part of the Insider Wales Property Awards, set to take place on 13 June.

Led by partners Martin Pursall and Chris Jones plus consultant Roger Berry, the commercial property department has a total of 15 team members. Speaking of the nomination, Berry Smith partner, Martin Pursall, said: “We are delighted to be nominated for this award for the third time as I truly believe that this accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. We are lucky to have such talented solicitors and support staff on board to produce high quality work and support our clients in the property sector.”

[aoa id=”1″]The firm has dealt with a wide range of significant commercial property transactions over the last 12 months with local, national and international organisations in a range of sectors including manufacturing, life science, hotels, finance, residential and commercial development, public sector and health care.  The firm also very recently announced its appointment by Tenovus Cancer Care and SA1 Waterfront Development Ltd.[/aoa]

Martin continued: “We pride ourselves on our collective ability and expertise to understand all issues and commercial pressures affecting our clients and can provide a practical and bespoke commercial approach. I believe that we are well placed with a strong and experienced team to deal with the continued expansion of our commercial property service and I think this award nomination is a true acknowledgment of that in the Welsh legal sphere.”

Berry Smith has sustained its success by continuing to develop its relationships with local banks and financial institutions including Principality Commercial and the Development Bank of Wales. It has also seen a significant increase in work relating to the National Procurement Service Legal Services Framework Agreement for public sector work advising Welsh Government, various local authorities and other public sector organisations on property matters.

Established in 2015, the Insider Wales Property Awards is set to bring together and recognise some of the leading names in Welsh property at its sold-out ceremony this June.
