Monmouthshire Building Society has partnered with St David’s Hospice for the next two years to help raise funds for the charity.

St David’s Hospice Care is a charitable organisation providing comprehensive, palliative care to patients, their families and carers facing life-limiting illnesses. It has become one of the UK’s largest providers of hospice at home care, caring for over 3,200 patients and families every year, serving communities in South East Wales (Newport, Caerphilly, Torfaen, Monmouthshire, as well as Mid and South Powys).

The Building Society will take part in various fundraising events over the next 24 months to help raise funds for the Hospice. It will also help raise awareness around hospice care and the belief that everyone should have access to high quality and compassionate palliative and end of life care, where and whenever they need it.

Dawn Gunter, Chief Operating Officer of Monmouthshire Building Society, said the Society is delighted to have joined forces with St David’s Hospice Care.

She said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with St David’s Hospice Care, a charity that does such vital work in our communities. Supporting local people has always been at the heart of what we do at Monmouthshire Building Society, and this partnership is another way for us to give something back to the areas we serve. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team to help make a real difference to those who need it most.

“At Monmouthshire Building Society, we believe in making a meaningful, lasting impact beyond financial services, and we’re proud to stand alongside an organisation that provides such compassionate care to families when they need it most.”

Kris Broome, Director of Fundraising at St David’s Hospice Care said “We are thrilled to have been chosen by Monmouthshire Building Society as their charity of choice for a two-year partnership. Over the next two years, we look forward to engaging with their staff and encouraging them to get involved – not only by organising their own fundraising activities, but also by taking part in our exciting calendar of events, including abseils, runs, bike rides, walks, dinners, and much more.

“This partnership will help us raise much-needed funds to support our work, while also raising awareness of the free and wide-ranging services we provide to our community. We’re confident that, together, we can make a meaningful difference and inspire others to support our cause.”
