Caerphilly will soon be getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year with the preparation of Winter Food and Craft Markets popping up throughout the Borough.

Taking place in Ystrad Mynach, Blackwood, Caerphilly and Bargoed the Winter Food and Craft Markets will include everything you need for a festive day out. Each market will host between 20 and 50 food and craft stalls, a selection of children’s funfair rides along with a jam packed programme of top quality street theatre entertainment.

Offering the perfect opportunity for visitors to shop locally, each participating town centre has a selection of independent stores with some quirky gift ideas; there are also a number of high street stores and some great eating out venues.

There will also be lantern making workshops where residents can make their lanterns in preparation for the River of Light Lantern Parade.

Cllr Jamie Pritchard, Deputy Leader of Caerphilly County Borough Council commented, “We are very excited to be bringing Winter Food and Craft Markets back to four of the town centres in Caerphilly County Borough again this year. Businesses at the heart of our high streets should also be supported and I would encourage residents who are visiting these markets to also shop locally and help small businesses prosper this Christmas.”
