To celebrate its 120th anniversary of service, Cardiff Bus is opening its doors to the public as it hosts a Depot open day.

The Depot open day this Saturday (24 September) will include a showcase of new and vintage buses, as well as stalls and hot and cold refreshments from local vendors.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a tour around the Cardiff Bus Depot, and view bus displays from the Cardiff Transport Preservation Group.

Entry to the open day is free and a complimentary shuttle bus will run from St Mary Street Wyndham Arcade (Stop JE) to the depot every 15 minutes from 10:45 until 14:30.

Paul Dyer, the Managing Director of Cardiff Bus, said that the event “is a fantastic chance for us to throw open our doors for the public to see some of what goes on behind-the-scenes here, as well as to celebrate this milestone with us.”

“We are extremely proud to be the longest running bus operator in Cardiff, providing transportation services for over a century in the capital, and we look forward to continuing to serve the people of Cardiff and beyond for many years to come.”
