Cardiff Castle’s blockbuster summer concert series shows no signs of slowing down after David Gray delivered a memorable headline performance to a packed crowd on Saturday night.
The Welsh capital was buzzing as a capacity audience welcomed the multi platinum selling singer songwriter to TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle as part of his Past & Present World Tour.

Set against the spectacular backdrop of the historic castle, Gray treated fans to a career spanning set celebrating more than three decades of acclaimed songwriting during what was his biggest ever Welsh show.
The performance featured a mix of beloved classics and fan favourites, including The One I Love, My Oh My, Be Mine, White Ladder, You’re The World To Me and This Year’s Love.
One of the night’s standout moments came when thousands of fans joined together for a spine tingling singalong to Babylon. The audience also shared in Gray’s moving tribute to the late Bonnie Tyler with his rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart, before he brought the evening to a close with a stunning performance of Sail Away.

Opening the show were special guests The Divine Comedy, who delighted the crowd with their trademark wit and timeless songwriting, including a performance of National Express.
With David Gray’s show now complete, attention turns to the remaining dates in what has been another hugely successful summer of live music at Cardiff Castle.

The series continues on Thursday, 16 July, with Richard Ashcroft, joined by Tom Meighan and Apollo Junction.
