Rhian Wilkinson’s Cymru will face Australia for the first time in October, in what will be their first fixture following this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 finals.

The match will take place on Saturday 25 October at the Cardiff City Stadium, with a 2pm kick off time. The Matilda’s are ranked 15th in the world and feature several big names including Sam Kerr and Caitlin Foord who play in the WSL in England.

This will be Cymru’s first match since this summer’s EURO finals, which was the side’s first ever appearance in a major tournament. Wilkinson hopes the Red Wall will turn up in their numbers to support her side.

“Making history by reaching a major tournament for the first time has been an incredible experience, and the match against Australia will be the perfect way to celebrate our history making players, but also to look ahead to the future.”

“As we look to further develop ourselves against some of the top nations in the world, Australia are the perfect opponents for us. I hope the Red Wall, the regulars and new fans, will come out in their numbers for what will be a great occasion on a Saturday afternoon at the Cardiff City Stadium.”

Tickets will go on sale at midday Monday 11 August, with early bird pricing available starting at £3 juniors (£2 Red Wall members) and £8 adults (£6 Red Wall members).
