Ffos Caerffili has been celebrated on the national stage, receiving a prestigious Highly Commended accolade at the REVO Gold Awards in the Best Repurposing & Placemaking Project category. The recognition comes as part of REVO’s mission to honour outstanding achievements in the retail, leisure, property, and placemaking sectors across the UK.

This commendation is a significant milestone for Ffos Caerffili, which has quickly risen to prominence since its recent opening. Known for its innovative design and dynamic offerings, the venue was previously highlighted by The Sunday Times and featured on Escape to the Country as one of the UK’s top food halls. This latest honour underscores its transformative impact on the local community and its contribution to revitalising the town’s economy.

Deputy Leader, Cllr Jamie Pritchard, expressed his excitement at the recognition:
“Ffos Caerffili is gaining national recognition in such a short time of opening its doors. To be listed by The Times newspaper as one of the best food halls in the UK is a credit to the businesses operating here. To also be ‘highly commended’ by REVO in the Best Repurposing & Placemaking Project category is also very pleasing. It is important the community supports all the businesses at Ffos Caerffili for new opportunities to be created here.”

The REVO award highlights Ffos Caerffili as a model for innovative repurposing and placemaking, attracting attention from developers and stakeholders. This achievement is poised to further enhance its reputation and inspire continued investment in the area.
