Finance Awards Wales 2019 has officially launched and open for nominations.  Following the success of the 2018 awards, this year’s nominations can now be submitted, through to January 11th, with the winners announced in a glittering ceremony in Cardiff’s City Hall on Friday 5 April 2019.

Organisers promise another amazing evening which will celebrate the talented Finance professionals across Wales.

“2019 is our second year and we are delighted to open up nominations for entries from across the Finance sector”

Finance Awards Wales MD, Matt Hyde.

“Our vision – to recognise, attract and invest in Finance talent is core to what we are doing.  Last year we were proud to recognise over 40 winners across 11 categories, shining a light on the rich talent we have in Wales and celebrating the valuable work of the Finance sector.  We are excited to find new talent in 2019 and add to the Finance Awards Wales family”.

With categories ranging from CFO/FD of the Year to Rising Star of the Year, nominations are sought from all industries and sectors. This year’s judging panel sees a return of Ken Poole as Chairman, Emma Peterson, Mark Tweed and Mike Fowler, with some new judges joining the team.

Principal sponsor Recruit 121 is thrilled to be involved in this year’s awards.

“2018 was a ground-breaking year for Finance Awards Wales – the first dedicated awards to recognise the huge contribution of Finance professionals across the country.  We are committed to raising the profile of the Finance profession in Wales and excited to find out who wins in 2019”.

    Economy Secretary Ken Skates said:

“I welcome this second year of the Finance Awards Wales and applaud the organisers’ ongoing work to showcase the talented professionals who make up our flourishing Finance sector.

“The calibre of nominations at last year’s Awards proved that Wales has the skills to compete at the highest levels of world business. Recognising the many achievements of Wales’ Finance sector is important and I look forward to us celebrating more excellence and success at the 2019 Awards.”
