Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s Media Resources Department are once again celebrating success at the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) Awards 2018 with two Silver awards and seven Bronze awards.

The IMI is the leading UK professional body for photographers, videographers, graphic designers and medical artists working in healthcare. The awards were announced at the annual IMI conference which brought together colleagues from the UK and overseas to share in two days of workshops, presentations and exhibitions, as well as celebrate success at the Institute’s awards ceremony.

The Silver awards were awarded to Hannah Wilce and Chris Tetley, and the Bronze awards were awarded to Nicola Kelley-Carrick, Tamsyn Clark, Jessica Leonard, Hannah Wilce and Chris Tetley.

Since 1968 IMI has set and maintained standards for the medical illustration profession, bringing together the disciplines of clinical photography, medical art, illustration, graphic design and video within healthcare.

The Institute’s members are a highly specialised and skilled group of people contributing to the care of patients and the teaching of medicine and allied health subjects.

Dr Fiona Jenkins, Executive Director for Therapies and Health Science at Cardiff and Vale UHB said:

“I’d like to congratulate the Media Resources Team on their awards.  It’s wonderful to see their work nationally recognised and rewarded amongst their peers.”
