THE ultimate property doer upper challenge is up for grabs and could be a real bargain but you need to be careful and not look inside.

The South Wales terraced house has gone on the market but experts consider it to be in such a dangerous state of repair that interested people are advised to view from a distance.

There is a stark Fire Brigade safety notice pinned to the front door warning of its condition.  And prospective buyers are being advised that they should only view the fire damaged house from a rear lane.

The house, at 8, Suffolk Place, Ogmore Vale, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, is being sold by Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions.

It has a guide price of just £14,000-plus.

Angie Davey, of Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions, said: “This mid terraced house will require complete renovation due to the internal collapse of the staircase and three walls. There is a  notice, on the front door, put up by the fire brigade to warn no one to enter as it is unsafe.

“We have not been able to inspect the property but we are informed by the vendor that the accommodation previously consisted of two reception rooms, kitchen, three bedrooms, bathroom with separate w.c. There is a rear garden, which is overgrown, and lane access. “We anticipate the property, once renovated, could realise a rental of approximately £575 pcm.

“Even though this could be seen as the ultimate doer upper and will require all sorts of construction skills to make it habitable, it has created quite strong pre-auction interest from those relishing a challenge and who can see the real potential for this building.

“The property has a Fire Brigade safety notice pinned to the front door and we’re therefore advising that internal viewings will not be conducted on this mid terraced house due to the very real danger to anyone venturing inside.”

The house, along with some eighty other lots, will be offered by Paul Fosh Auctions in its online sale which starts from 12 noon on Tuesday, July 25 and ends from 5pm on Thursday, July 27.
