The dining room is an important place in every home. This is where you celebrate holidays, eat meals and spend time with your loved ones. Undoubtedly, it’s good for it to be cosy and put you in a positive mood. How to arrange a dining room not only to fulfill its function but also to be a place where you will spend time with pleasure?

The modern decor of the dining room – practical solutions

Do you care about a timeless arrangement with a hint of modernity? Choose neutral colours such as white, black, gray, or beige. Modern interiors are famous for minimalism. If you value harmony and functionality, it will be a perfect choice.

If you plan to arrange the dining room in a modern style, use roomy dining room cabinets and shelves. Such pieces of furniture will be perfect for storing the necessary things in the dining room – you can put all the tableware in the cabinets, and glasses on the shelves. It is also a good idea to replace the classic massive table with a long but narrow one. It will make the room slimmer and optically larger. Complete the arrangement with an extraordinary skeleton pendant lamp.

How to arrange small and large dining rooms?

In modern construction, the kitchen is less and less often separated from the dining and living room, which may result in an optical reduction of the interiors. Kitchens connected with a dining room are usually quite small. However, there are a few tricks that can help you make the space, where you eat, larger than it really is.

Firstly, hang large rectangular mirrors on the walls that will optically enlarge even a tiny interior. In addition, install brightly coloured lamps that will reflect the light. This will make the room cosier. Furthermore, choose Roman blinds that will shade the room on a sunny day, but unlike heavy curtains, they will not optically reduce the space.

    Boho dining room

If you don’t know how to arrange a small dining room, get inspired by the boho style. Its characteristic features are the rich design and the use of natural materials, such as jute or light wood. In such a dining room sand, beige, and light-brown colours should dominate. They are warm and at the same time not overwhelming. Thanks to this, your dining room will be cosy and spacious at the same time.

    Large dining room arrangement

On the other hand, if you have a lot of space, you can arrange it with more accessories, in slightly less muted colours. How to arrange a large dining room? First of all, opt for a large table that will comfortably accommodate many people. Ideally, you can unfold it additionally, if necessary. In addition, put on massive chairs in dark colours. Moreover, do not give up on additional furniture – in the free space against the wall, place a functional chest of drawers that will accommodate all the dining room equipment – cutlery and tableware, as well as tablecloths and table runners. You can put photo frames, lamps, vases, and other trinkets on its top.

A glamour–style dining room cabinets and other furniture

If you have a lot of space, a glamorous style dining room will be a good choice. Quilted fabrics on the upholstery of chairs, as well as carefully selected gold and silver accessories, will add style to the room. Elegant, stylish furniture is very important. Hang pendant lamps or an impressive large chandelier above the table, which will illuminate the room and will be an original decoration. The perfect complement to such an arrangement can be crystal dishes and decorative vases. Don’t forget about massive, dark cabinets. You can find a wide selection of dining room cabinets in the online store https://www.dakohome.co.uk/dining-room/cabinets.

Decorating a dining room can be very pleasant. Regardless of whether your dining room is a small room or a large room, you can furnish and decorate it tastefully.
