    IoD Wales launches new hub in Cardiff

    The Institute of Directors has announced a new one-year partnership with Space2B at The Maltings to create a South Wales business hub, offering IOD members in South Wales co-working space in one of the capital city’s leading business ecosystems.

    IoD Wales represents and unifies business directors from organisations of all sizes across the country. The re-location of their South Wales hub to Space2B at The Maltings reflects a renewed drive towards diversity and inclusivity as the IOD continues to pioneer entrepreneurship and contribute to boosting regional growth.

    As part of the new commitment, in addition to access to Space2B’s state-of-the-art co-working space, the 200 IOD South Wales members will also have free use of the onsite gym and access to Kin & Ilk coffee shop, which offers an alternative space to work, meet or relax, all set with in the iconic Grade II listed building, The Maltings.

    Richard Selby, Director of IoD Wales, said: “We are excited to begin our new partnership with The Maltings. As part of our vision to build communities of Directors that are reflective of Wales and to provide new opportunities to connect with each other in a post pandemic world, we are delighted that IoD Wales will benefit from the superb facilities on offer from Space2B.

    “The mantra of the IoD is that ‘Better Directors build a Better World’ and this new partnership with Space2B will certainly support members to develop themselves, their businesses and achieve their societal goals.”

    Home to more than 100 companies across a diverse range of sectors, Space2B at The Maltings is an ideal offering for IoD Wales, guaranteeing members use of contemporary workspaces and meeting rooms in the ultimate business hub.

    Ann Nicholas, IoD Wales member said: “The IoD is a vibrant community of likeminded, passionate people; the announcement of a flexible working space provides a setting where members can meet to share experiences as business leaders and learn from each other is fantastic – I will certainly use it!”

    The historic Maltings building is located in the heart of the Cardiff’s business scene, minutes away from the city centre, Cardiff Bay and the M4/A48 corridor, with free Brompton Bike hire, onsite parking, and a shuttle bus to and from Cardiff Central Station ensuring it is easily accessible.
