Local Lottery millionaires, ‘The Catering Girls’, delivered a millionaire worthy gold lottery playstation to the shop where they bought their winning £25,476,778.30 EuroMillions ticket in November 2017.

Julie Amphlett, Sian Jones, Louise Ward and Doreen Thompson- four of the six lucky Catering Girls who banked £4,246,129.72 each when they hit the jackpot with their life changing EuroMillions ticket – unveiled the new shiny gold playstation in One Stop in Sandfields.

The six-strong syndicate all gave up serving up dinner dishes straight after their win and have since splashed out on trip-of-a-lifetime holidays, properties and a new tumble dryer and mattress!

Taking time out from their new ventures the foursome was delighted to return to One Stop, where their lucky ticket was bought. They delivered the limited edition gold playstation to spread a little Christmas cheer and in the hope that their good fortune can now rub off on others.

Talking about the moment they became members of the lottery millionaires club, Julie Amphlett said, “It’s been an unbelievable year and we have been able to make so many of our dreams come true. One Stop was lucky for us before and hopefully with this new gold playstation it will be lucky again for someone else!”

Store manager, Claire Bentley, was delighted to see the winners back in store and thanked them for their support.

She said: “Not every store can say they’ve created a millionaire, so to get to see our customers again who won so much with a ticket we sold them is just fantastic. Here’s hoping this gold edition playstation will bring us even more luck so that more local lottery millionaires can join The Catering Girls in the Millionaires’ club!”

Doreen Thompson (57) is married to Nigel.  She was a catering assistant for 12 years, lives in Ystalyfera, has three children and two step children, lots of grandchildren and has been on several holidays, including dream trips to Florida several times! They have also bought a new home.

Louise Ward (38) was getting married to Mark at the time of the win.  She was a catering assistant for 12 years, lives in Port Talbot, has two children and enjoyed the wedding of her dreams at Blanco’s, Port Talbot, thanks to her win.

Their celebrations were already booked when they won, but she could splash out on extras to create the perfect day. Replacing the tumble dryer she was renting and upgrading to foam mattresses for the children were two of her first purchases after her life changing windfall!

Sian Jones (55), was a catering supervisor for 14 years. Married to Andrew, she has two children and two grandchildren, is from Baglan and made the most of her win with plenty of foreign travel.

Julie Amphlett, (51) was a catering assistant for 32 years and lives in Neath. Married to Christopher, she has been able to make her dreams come true and has also treated her grown-up son to a new home.
