The Corris Railway Society Model Railway Exhibition, a regular feature of the August Bank Holiday weekend events in Machynlleth, is returning.

The exhibition will be held on August 23 and 24 at Y Plas, Machynlleth from 10am to 4.30pm both days with 16 layouts in various gauges and scales – from N gauge, 009, 00, 0 and 16mm live steam.

In addition to the layouts, there will be a number of sales stands selling pre-owned railway ephemera, books, model trains and hand-made glass in various shapes and colours.

There will also be a Corris Railway information stand and shop. All  profits from the exhibition will be used towards funding the revival of Corris Railway, where trains will be running from Corris station on both days, leaving at 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Tickets for both the exhibition and the passenger train services at Corris may be pre-booked online on the Corris Railway website – www.corris.co.uk/tickets – or purchased on the day.

Light refreshments will be available at the exhibition and there is parking close to Y Plas. Admission for adults is £5 and £2.50 for children. Family tickets – two adults and two children – is £12.50.
