Odgers Berndtson, the only blue-chip international search firm with a dedicated team based in Wales, has appointed Emma Walton to the position of Consultant.

Emma joins the Cardiff-based Odgers team with over 20 years’ search and interim management experience delivering Executive, Non-Executive and senior management assignments across all functions.

[aoa id=”1″]In her time with Finlay Gardener in Bristol, as Regional Managing Director, she was responsible for launching and establishing their regional division for Executive Search and building strong relationships with many clients based in the South West and Wales. She is proud to now return to her home country to work with Odgers in Cardiff.[/aoa]

The Odgers Wales team are confident Emma will play a key role in supporting their ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months and beyond.

Since 2009, Odgers Wales have successfully placed over 350 senior executives and non-executives in Wales, attracting talent from areas including Australia, Singapore, Canada, the US and Europe to assume some of the most senior Welsh roles for organisations including Admiral, The Royal Mint, Castleoak, Principality Building Society, Welsh Rugby Union, Welsh Government, Brains, Milford Haven Port Authority and Welsh National Opera.

Almost half (48 per cent) of all appointed candidates in 2018 were female, demonstrating Odgers’ commitment to supporting the drive for greater diversity (and proven enhanced performance) amongst Wales’ largest employers.

Emma commented: “Joining the team in Wales is a great opportunity for me to continue my career with one of the most recognised Executive Search firms, not just in the UK, but worldwide. Odgers offer an unrivalled level of candidate reach and choice through their 50 years of experience and extensive network. It is also a great chance to develop my career in my home country, where my family live!”

Managing Partner of Odgers Berndtson Wales, Jemma Terry comments:

“We are truly delighted to welcome Emma to the Odgers team and home to Wales.

“She joins us at an exciting time for the business and her extensive executive search experience will prove to be invaluable as Odgers Berndtson continues to build on its strength across all sectors of the Welsh market place.”

Spanning the private, public and third sectors, Odgers Wales’ success is founded on their unmatched reach, network (eight UK and fifty two international offices) and experience and their ability to attract candidates to Wales. With an 80% client repeat business level, they have proven ability to promote Wales as a unique global business centre and destination of choice to live and work.

Jemma Terry continues: “The demand for experienced senior talent in Wales has never been higher, but one of the greatest sources of top talent that remains relatively untapped is working parents.

“As an employer, we recognise that long-term we also need to offer a more flexible working option for those people who join us – to attract and retain talent.

“We are therefore delighted to be able to bring Emma, a working parent, on board and support her career, doing so around her existing childcare commitments.

“We are incredibly excited for the future growth of Odgers and very much look forward to Emma being a part of this.”
