Following the success of an inaugural event last year, Run To Rave – a new event blending fun, fitness and fundraising – is set to return to the Cardiff Bay barrage on Saturday April 5th (moved from 14th September 2024).

Back in June 2024, open air street food venue Tiger Yard hosted their first ever Run To Rave event – a fusion of fitness and fun that got hearts racing and feet moving.

Starting with a 5km fun-run around the picturesque Cardiff Bay barrage, participants then headed to Tiger Yard to get their groove on to their favourite dance classics spun by Tiger Yard’s in-house DJs.

Tiger Yard’s resident traders will once again fire the grills from noon, offering an array of street food options to help runners refuel – from halloumi souvlaki, to crispy fried chicken with blue cheese sauce.

Run to Rave ii tickets are priced at £10, and a portion of each ticket sale is donated to Calon Hearts, a charity dedicated to supporting heart health initiatives.

The first event raised over £2,000 in total, and organisers are keen to repeat this success at the second event on Saturday April 5th.

Sharon Owen, Charity Director at Calon Hearts said, “We are delighted and honoured that Tiger Yard has chosen to support Calon Hearts yet again as their charity partner for Run To Rave. All money raised will go towards part-funding mobile heart screening sessions and supply of defibrillators throughout Wales.”

New at Tiger Yard for 2025

Run To Rave II will be the first event in Tiger Yard’s jam-packed calendar, as it reopens its doors for the 2025 season of street food, live music, and unmissable events on April 4th. After an exciting revamp, the iconic outdoor venue is back with a brand-new retractable roof, bringing all-weather entertainment to the heart of Cardiff Bay.

After storm damage forced the waterside venue to close for repairs at the end of last year, Tiger Yard’s 2025 transformation now includes a bigger, fully retractable electric roof, meaning that the summer vibes can continue – whatever the weather.

The last remaining tickets for Run To Rave II are on sale now for £10 (plus £1 booking fee) at https://www.seetickets.com/event/run-to-rave/tiger-yard/3141146.
