The company also has an ongoing relationship with Joseph’s Smile and its Kids Get Cancer Too campaign, providing financial support and helping to raise awareness of the challenges faced by children with cancer and their families.
The programme’s ambassadors, Mike Doyle and Gareth “Alfie” Thomas, have been visiting local groups and meeting the people behind them. They have supported Joseph’s Smile at events including charity football matches and the Kids Get Cancer Too campaign at the Senedd, and Trade Centre Wales sponsored the shirts for the charity’s Wales v England charity football match.
Emma Rees, CEO and Co-Founder of Joseph’s Smile, said: “We are so incredibly grateful to Trade Centre Wales and its ambassadors, Mike Doyle, and Gareth ‘Alfie’ Thomas, for their unwavering support. They show up for us time and time again, in ways that genuinely make a difference to the children and families we support.”
Gareth Thomas said: “I absolutely love being involved in this programme. Sport can have such a positive impact, especially on young people. It builds confidence, creates friendships, and gives people something to be proud of.”
Mike Doyle added: “Sometimes even something small can have a really big impact on a community group. It can help tackle loneliness, support mental health and, most importantly, bring people together and create friendships.”
Mark Bailey, Chairman and Founder of The Trade Centre Group, said: “Our KitKlub and now our Community Engagement Programme is all about listening to people and supporting what they need in the community. I believe that local businesses such as ours should also give back to local communities in terms of investment.”
Trade Centre Wales is a trading style of The Trade Centre Group PLC. The company says that over more than a decade the group has provided assistance to more than 1,500 grassroots sports clubs, helped support over 25,000 athletes and donated over £2 million to community causes.
