Get ready for a night of twists, tension and dark laughs as Murder at Midnight brings its brand-new comedy thriller to Cardiff’s New Theatre from 4 to 8 November 2025.

Following the success of Murder in the Dark, writer Torben Betts returns with another gripping and hilarious whodunnit, produced by the award-winning Original Theatre.

The show features a stellar cast including Jason Durr (Heartbeat, Casualty), Susie Blake (Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV, Coronation Street), Max Bowden (EastEnders) and Katie McGlynn (Coronation Street, Hollyoaks). They’ll be joined by Callum Balmforth, Peter Moreton and Iryna Poplavska, with Bella Farr and Andy McLeod completing the line-up.

Set on New Year’s Eve in a quiet Kent village, the story follows a notorious gangster, his glamorous wife, a nervous burglar dressed as a clown, and a vicar with secrets of his own. Add a suitcase full of cash, a few deadly weapons, and one unsolved murder, and you’ve got a recipe for chaos.

Directed by Philip Franks, Murder at Midnight blends razor-sharp wit with nail-biting suspense, keeping audiences guessing until the final stroke of midnight.

Murder at Midnight will run at the New Theatre Cardiff from 4 to 8 November 2025.

Tickets are available now at trafalgartickets.com.
