Dragonfly Training Ltd. has used a £105,000 funding package from NatWest to purchase its new head office in Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff Bay.

The move will provide a base for the firm’s existing services, but also allow it to launch a new service, Elite by Dragonfly, offering classroom practices to big businesses and educating them on mental health wellbeing and performance enhancement.

Tripling the size of its previous rented space in Penarth, Cardiff, the 1,000 sq ft facility which has been fully fitted out will provide space for the firm’s team of 10 office staff, as well as meeting rooms and recreational spaces.

Founded in 1999, by former history teacher Steve Chapman and his wife Mary Chapman, Dragonfly Training Ltd has grown to become a global business, operating in 50 countries worldwide and with a portfolio of more than 40 trainers. The firm hopes to grow its workforce by around 30 per cent over the next two years.

Director, Nadeeke Illeperuma, said: “We have spent the last 20 years working with schools and training lots of teachers all over the globe. Our new premises will allow us to open Elite by Dragonfly, taking classroom practices and teaching into the workplace, and delivering training to improve business performance and outcomes.

“NatWest has been instrumental in this purchase and advised us on the best facilities to ensure we had access to the finance needed. We look forward to settling in to our new space and launching our new service.”

Andrew Tummon, Business Relationship Manager at NatWest, said: “Dragonfly Training Ltd is a long-standing customer of NatWest. It is extremely rewarding to have helped to assist the team and make the expansion of the business possible. We look forward to supporting the business in the future.”
