Ty Isaf Infants School reaccredited with Healthy School National Quality Award

Ty Isaf Infants School have successfully completed their Healthy School National Quality Award reaccreditation.

The National Quality Award is the highest accreditation a school can achieve through the Welsh Network of Healthy School Schemes, which is run by Public Health Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government.

The Healthy Schools Team work with pupils, teachers, parents and a range of partners to improve the health of whole school communities. Their primary aim is to support schools to develop a whole school approach to health through its work in 7 key areas:

  • Food and Fitness
  • Mental and Emotional Health and Well-being
  • Personal Development and Relationships
  • Environment
  • Substance use and misuse
  • Safety
  • Hygiene

Mrs Bain, Head Teacher of Ty Isaf Infants said, “I am very pleased and proud that Ty Isaf Infants have achieved this award.  The staff and pupils have worked hard over the last two years to maintain the standards of a healthy school.  At Ty Isaf Infants School we focus on having happy, healthy, hearts and minds. Pupils and staff wellbeing is paramount to our nurturing and caring school.  We are proud of our strong community links and our positive relationships with our families.”
