Wales’ largest housing, care and support provider has a new name, becoming Codi Group on 1st of January 2026.
The new identity for the Group, formed through the merger of Linc and Pobl, was confirmed in June.
Now, the two organisations have formally come together under a single identity and shared strategy, completing the transition into one new entity with a clear purpose and direction, focused on using collective strength to shape better futures for people and places in a sustainable, long-term way.
Scott Sanders, Group CEO of Codi Group, said:
“The completion of the merger and transition to Codi marks a significant step forward. Codi brings together the strengths and legacies of two strong organisations with shared values and deep community roots, giving us the size and scale to make a real difference while staying local to the communities we work in.
“As an anchor institution in Wales, we have a unique ability to influence and drive real change. Working in partnership with like-minded organisations, our ambition extends beyond simply building better homes to shaping whole communities.
“Our ability to deliver at scale while staying rooted in local communities is what sets Codi apart and underpins how we approach growth, partnership, and lasting outcomes for our customers. Our focus is on delivering high-quality housing, care and support, ensuring continuity for those who rely on us, and using our collective strength to create lasting local impact across Wales.”
Codi is a not-for-profit organisation with a clear social purpose: to help people live well, feel supported and achieve their full potential. The name comes from the Welsh word meaning ‘rise’, recognising the Group’s deep-rooted Welsh identity and its desire to rise to meet customers’ expectations and the opportunities that lie ahead.
The Group now manages nearly 25,000 homes and provides care and support to 17,000 people. Employing more than 3,000 colleagues, it is a major contributor to the Welsh economy. Over the next five years, Codi plans to deliver more than 4,500 new homes, alongside continued investment in local communities.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Codi will make a £1 billion contribution to the Welsh economy over the next five years, supporting jobs, skills, opportunity, and new homes — helping to build a better future, together.
