Swansea Bay Business Club will welcome Anne Adams-King, the Chief Executive of the Board of Welsh Cycling, as guest speaker at its Friday 20 September lunch, which goes ahead at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium.

Anne has impressive history of sporting achievement in her own right, as an Olympic and Commonwealth Games swimmer, before going on to accumulate 30 years of successful sports management.

Alan Brayley, Acting President of Swansea Bay Business Club, says: “I am looking forward to welcoming Anne to our September networking lunch at the Liberty Stadium. Anne will, no doubt, share her insights and experiences of managing relationships and leading programmes and initiatives for Welsh Cycling, Sport Wales, the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), and Pentathlon GB.

“Her time with Welsh Cycling has seen the body grow and develop, during what has been a golden age of cycling in Wales, in terms of elite success on the track. It has also seen increased take-up of the sport among the public, and Anne has shown a continued drive to see cycling thrive, in order to nurture a new generation of top-level athletes.”

Alan adds: “Anne’s approach to sports management will, I’m sure, reveal some key lessons for the broader business community, that will interest our members.”

Tickets to Swansea Bay Business Club’s September lunch, which is sponsored by Cycle Solutions, are available here: https://www.swanseabaybusinessclub.com/events/september-lunch-3/

They are priced at £25 for members and £32.50 for non-members. This will include a two-course lunch, held at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, and guests are asked to arrive from 12:15pm for a 1pm lunch. Bookings will close at midnight on Friday 13 September, one week before the event.
