Wales e-Learning provider appoints new managing director

Adrian Coles, Academii

E-Learning provider, Academii, is delighted to announce that it has appointed Adrian Coles as its new Managing Director in January 2023.

Founded in 2019, Academii is an e-learning resource focusing on skill-building within the underserved blue-collar workforce. The company is starting 2023 as it means to go on with the appointment of a new and dynamic Managing Director, Adrian Coles.

Adrian joins Academii following 17 years with NatWest, where he served and supported SMEs and startups across South Wales and the south of England. Adrian’s impressive history has centred around building and nurturing client relationships and customer advocacy and seeking to add tangible value to client businesses. As a self-titled ‘non-banker, banker’, Adrian’s reputation for innovation and excellence is a welcome addition to Academii’s growing team.

Closing the skills gap

In his new role, Adrian will lead the charge in building and developing a competent, innovative and technically astute customer development team to offer strategic support to the skills agenda. Adrian says, “This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Academii. I look forward to working with many businesses to drive greater business output and create a more prosperous society by closing the skills gap; creating an engaged, enabled and empowered workforce.”

Adrian’s appointment is a very clear sign of the direction in which Academii is headed.

Company co-founder Steve Lanigan added: “Academii was formed to fundamentally change how we engage the blue-collar workforce and provide them with the skills needed for the jobs of tomorrow by using immersive technology to train and develop that talent. Adrian is trusted and well respected in the manufacturing sector in Wales, having built a reputation as a facilitator and supporter of so many Welsh companies during his time at NatWest. His appointment has come at the perfect time to help us support companies and the broader Welsh economy by engaging workforces and enabling them to thrive and succeed.”
