More than 25 new jobs are coming to Caerphilly County in the next 12 months and set to be delivered by OGM in partnership with Acorn Recruitment.

The injection moulding specialist and leading UK recruiter have teamed up to fill a number of up and coming roles set to be based at OGM’s site in Hengoed.

OGM manufactures and supplies specialist technical plastic injection moulded parts and components across the electronics, automotive, medical and general industry sectors from two sites, one in Oxfordshire and the other in South Wales.

The company has invested more than £5 million in its Hengoed site in recent years, purchasing its factory and new machinery there in the process, and is now looking to recruit another 25 members of staff as a result of this expansion.

Gareth Taylor, Branch Manager at Acorn Recruitment is leading the recruitment process and said: “The commitment OGM has shown towards its Hengoed site presents those seeking new or alternative employment opportunities within the area with a number of really significant opportunities.

“There are a mix of positions set to become available, from General Operatives to office-based roles, which hold a great deal of potential for those looking to develop and grow into an established career in the engineering and technical sector. We also have engineering and supervisory roles to fill straight away.”

“We’re really excited to be supporting OGM as a key employer for Caerphilly County to achieve its aims for ongoing expansion, therefore, and to be part of a project that is set to be of such great benefit to the local economy overall,” Gareth added.

Multi-specialist Acorn is the leading recruiter in Wales and is in the top 1% of all recruitment firms across the UK, with offices and business operations UK-wide.

It has been working with OGM for a number of years to support the company’s recruitment needs at both of its sites in England and in Wales.

As a key employer for the area, OGM is opening up vacancies to job seekers in Caerphilly with opportunities to develop into permanent and leadership roles attached, as well as multiple employee benefits too.

Richard Holley, Operations Director at OGM, said: “We have set strong roots in the Hengoed area, and I hope our continued investment shows our commitment to helping the local economy thrive. OGM has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years thanks to the diverse customer base it has developed, and we have some fantastic opportunities available. We have a great partnership with Acorn Recruitment, which we hope will enable us to match the right opportunities with the right people for the continued benefit of us all.”
