The Royal Welsh Winter Fair 2024 is set to kick off the festive season in style with a two-day celebration of shopping, food, and entertainment. Held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, this year’s event promises to be grander than ever, featuring more tradestands to offer visitors endless opportunities for early Christmas shopping and unique gift discoveries.

A new addition to this year’s festivities is the Gwledd | Feast area, located in the Shearing Shed, which will be a vibrant hub of local Welsh food. From savoury bites to festive treats, visitors will have the chance to sample the best of Welsh produce while enjoying the lively atmosphere. Adding to the entertainment, the Shearing Stage will feature live performances, setting a joyful and festive tone across the event. Families can look forward to a visit from Santa himself, who will welcome children to his grotto, while cheerful bandstand performances will spread holiday spirit throughout the showground.

The popular Foodhall will return, showcasing some of Wales’s finest food and drink, including artisan cheeses and traditional Welsh cakes. For those in search of unique Christmas gifts, the Welsh crafts section will offer beautifully handcrafted items, perfect for adding a personal touch to the season’s celebrations.

A special late-night Christmas shopping event on Monday, 25th November, will allow visitors to shop until 7pm amid the twinkling lights and festive decorations of the showground. The evening will conclude with the legendary Winter Fair fireworks display set to a musical backdrop, creating a spectacular finale to a day filled with holiday spirit.

Tickets are available for purchase online, with Early Bird specials running until 10th November. Ticket prices are £24 for adults on Monday, £22 on Tuesday, £5 for children, and free entry for under-5s. RWAS members can enjoy exclusive discounts.

The Royal Welsh Winter Fair 2024 invites everyone to make this festive tradition part of their holiday season, with Welsh culture, food, and entertainment at its heart.
